...let me present you another funksoul-brother from another mother...charlie lownoise...and the one and lovely dudette...mental thesi...our new members on the contributor-board, and part of the funkfamily for lightyears. charlie is one of the creative dudes and co-founder of parasol island design- and film production based in duesseldorf. listen to dungeon disco sounds airing on glam fm, and check out their artworks on the parasol site.

our faithful dudette theresa is based on the green ireland in dublin, and is freelancing in graphics and animation design, and one of the most talented and sexiest body-mover on the dancefloor.

The real dude-mobile

Boys - the only real dude mobile is back on the road! The other Dude mobile I spotted in NYC (ok, it was New Jersey...) - Check out the small sign on the right side of the trunk - that's what I call understatement.

Was in NYC and London the last week - dude-style I checked shirts and shoes at Jermyn Street in London and went for Vinyl (21) in Soho and Greenwich Village in NYC. Now at the airport in Hamburg waiting to get on board to Zurich. Not so dudey...

Somewhere in Mid- to end of May my Hamburg Dude Mathias and me are for the third time celebrating our smashing Lachs-party. Inivitations will be posted...

dudes* the real ratpack

dudes...I stumbled over some pictures of functions we attended. find out where the next blacktie-event with free dirty martinis is...frank, sammy, gene and dean are coming, too. well, the next big event is on thursday, 2nd march in paris at the ritz at 9pm. anna is having the fashion-show with jasmine al fayed right after yves saint laurent. she just called me about the tickets, but I guess none of us can make it. we already checked for flights, arrival thursday evening and departure friday morning, but there's no chance. due to the fashion-weeks in paris, london and milan, there's some heavy air traffic and enormous fees. we have to find another occasion to get together. I also got a call from dirty mary's manager to organize a del'akyani vernisage. I thought about doing it with the joe velluto boys, and it's going to be simone and me on the turntables. date is not set yet, but it's going to be at the end of march I guess. so stay tuned for the exact date, and you might check on flights to italy, already. oh, and ollum, the salone mobile in milano is going to be sometime in april. are you coming to check out some great designs and for some martinis?

dudes* status up-date

...it's saturday, the last weekend of feburary...marco celebrated his birthday without his dudes and is getting ready to rock carnival traditions in duesseldorf, while arist re-entered hamburg from cameos in nyc and good ol' london. batti will soon deliver reports from from his movie-experiences and we expect rad pictures from the other dudes doing the white weekend of champagne powdersnow in switzerland. jan, deffi and paco...we are jealous! you were supposed to do powder-eights with all of us eight dudes.

well, jan-baz and eddie? we are happy as dogs to finally have an internet-access at home, and it's even broadband, ha! though it took me three weeks to get the system all up and running, driving telecom's customer care center mad with all my problems, especially regarding our wireless-lan-network. anyways, the world is wide open from our very home. jan-baz is getting all ready to start the production of the autumn/winter goods and I'm working on the ladies and kids spring/summer collections 2007. Italy is unusually drenched in a grey-layer of rain and fog, which doesn't support us from going out of the house on this weekend. not that there are places around worth being interested in. well, I guess it is time that we throw our own party...what d'you say?

I'll send you the invitation as soon as I've hooked up a location and know the date. we'll charter a flight to venice, and the party-shuttle will bring you to the dancefloor. after sweating and grinding, rocking and boozing, we will have paola snacks awaiting us hungry dudes for some delicious treats. you all crash at our place and the day after, we will brunch until we fall asleep again, any other suggestions, am I missing something? we hope to see you soon dudes! rock on...over and out

...our dear friends @ joe velluto design, vicenza, have managed to amaze us again with one of their latest design-project for "ono luce". this lighting-object named"memoria", displays the lifetime - minutes of the lightbulb. a futuristic and minimalistic piece of art, though created with love for retro design. go joe...you rock!

since the last three seasons, french couturier "chanel" definately defends its position for the best advertising-campaign in the fashion business. the quite traditional and elegant couture-maison has celebrated its comeback in 2003. with their classic bouclé and tweed jackets combining them with destroyed vintage jeans, adding more spice to their image, and approaching a younger crowd, "chanel" has created a new pool of fashion victims. to underline its lifted face, they have managed to put a chunky piece of street-language to their ad-campaigns. the message is "street-chic"! real, pure and rocking...a contemporary lifestyle that many other designers couldn't show in their ads.

therefore we reward "chanel" with the "golden dudette"award...rock on!

we went to the pitti tradefair in florence and met up with our sales-reps...I really dig florence, but the nightlife? restaurants is a big yes, but forget about clubbing, or meeting locals. they all hide in their secret places called home or danax...

like all pitti-visitors we checked out all the shops downtown, and my all-time favourite still is "luisa* via roma". a concept store that goes hand in hand with institutions like "corso como 10" in milan, or "colette" in paris. fortunately luisa hosted the "toys on stage" exhibition, which was a beautiful toy freak show. next to the action paintings of gary baseman and a variety of stylized "Qees" by different artists hung fine couture pieces of maisons like chloé, margiela, d2squared, etc. these toys are just rad and en vogue. i just love to be a kid again and play with Qee!
